2025 Geely Super Cup Pro Zhuzhou Station is about to start

News & Announcements China Zhuzhou International Circuit August 14

From August 15th to 17th, after a month and a half of summer break, seven founding teams and independent drivers will compete at the Zhuzhou International Circuit for the third race of the 2025 Geely Super Cup Pro. At this crucial mid-season juncture, the Zhuzhou race will serve as the starting line for teams and drivers in their quest for the year-end championship. This weekend, the Geely Super Cup Pro and the Central and Southern Racing Festival will converge, redefining the battle for the eastern bank of the Xiangjiang River. Here's a preview of the race as scheduled.

Completed and opened in 2019, the Zhuzhou International Circuit sits like a giant dragon on the banks of the Xiangjiang River. Its 3.77-kilometer length, 14 corners (9 left, 5 right), and three long straights make it the first FIA-certified circuit in Central and Southern China. As the engines roared, the Binrui COOL sequential race car raced across a track with a nearly 26-meter vertical drop. The centrifugal force of the steep horizontal slopes and the feeling of weightlessness on the steep vertical slopes intertwined, filling every driver with both yearning and awe. History has proven this is the perfect stage for forging classic touring car racing moments.

Let's first review the first two races of this year. The #7 car of the 326 Racing Team was the biggest winner, with Zhu Shengdong and Hu Haotian/Hu Jilan claiming wins at Tianfu International Circuit and Zhejiang International Circuit, respectively, propelling this domestic powerhouse to the top of the class standings. Black Mamba Shock Absorber by TRACKFUN Racing, with two full-season drivers, "Tangzhu" and Liu Xiaohua, has managed to maintain a commanding lead in the team standings despite facing disadvantages in some races. Following closely behind, the esports powerhouse HiRun Osa Racing, which has been honing its skills for a decade, holds the second-place spot in the team standings.

This racing journey, coined "HiRun," began in 2014. Subsequently, HiRun Racing gradually developed a mature online competition system and driver development program, becoming a professional and influential leading esports portal. The title of "Godfather of the esports racing community" has since been firmly attached to its founder, Li Yao.

Since the inception of Geely Super Cup Pro, the Hi Run Osa Racing Team has steadily carved out a path to glory for the orange race. Li Yao commented, "Coming to Zhuzhou, I have mixed feelings. Last year, we didn't perform well in the final race, and we had hoped to challenge for the championship. But from the second-to-last place in our first season to now having the chance to win the grand prize in every race, this fully demonstrates the success of our model." This season, while unable to maintain a fixed year-round lineup like the Black Mamba Shock Absorber by TRACKFUN Racing, the team remains confident in its potential. Li Yao added, "Originally, Zhong Ke and Zhu Hangxiao, both of whom have matured, could have formed a very strong championship contender. Unfortunately, the former was unable to compete due to personal reasons, significantly weakening our team's fighting power. However, we have taken a new approach, choosing to partner with drivers with great potential to give them opportunities for growth. Whether it's Yin Weihao, who performed exceptionally well in the Chengdu race, or Du Yuanchi, who has progressed through the Super Ji League Academy esports program."

The HiRun Osa team's unique esports background has deeply infused a data-driven approach into the team's DNA. Using a data-driven system derived from esports, the team can comprehensively assess drivers' talent, learning ability, physical fitness, and passion for racing, leveraging data analysis to develop personalized development plans for each driver. Hongxin Racing, the team providing technical support and services to the HiRun Osa Racing team, has reaped significant benefits, having risen from the bottom of the team standings to reach the upper mid-table position.

Team manager Tam Ho-ran of the "All-Hong Kong Class" team is very pleased with this partnership and believes it is a key driver in the team's renewed momentum. Tan Haoran said, "I'm very satisfied with our partnership with the Orange Team. They're truly professional and reliable. We've already begun developing our strategy for next season, and our collaboration is bound to deepen. The HiRun Osa team focuses on data analysis, identifying each driver's strengths and weaknesses and providing targeted solutions, ultimately enabling everyone to improve their driving skills and enhance their performance."

Currently, Yang Wenbin, who narrowly missed the podium twice in Shaoxing, has become a key player in the Hongxin team, gradually becoming a force to be reckoned with on the track. Meanwhile, the Bauhinia team is also participating in the team competition, fully experiencing the charm of China's top single-brand unified racing series. This is attracting more and more Hong Kong drivers to participate, and invisibly expanding the influence and reach of the Super Ji League IP in the racing worlds of Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Finally, as usual, the preliminary entry list for this race is announced. The Black Mamba Shock Absorber by TRACKFUN Racing Team and the Jiekai Racing Team will continue to maintain their stable lineups. HiRun Osa Racing Team has made some minor adjustments. Hong Kong driver Zhuang Liren will team up with Du Yuanchi to form the new #222 team. Hongxin Racing will field "old friend" Qiu Zhuoxian and Chen Huazhang. Team DIXCEL, which rediscovered its winning form in Shaoxing, has brought back veteran Cai Hongyu. Magic Racing Team welcomes back the duo of Sun Ruyi (partnered with Gu Ziyue) and Yan Jiazhen. 326 Racing Team, which has the most wins this season, will field Liu Ning and Chang Yilin. As for the independent drivers, the Hong Kong-based duo of Xu Jialuan/Xie Sen, both with strong Jiekai backgrounds, will pilot the #25 car, while Tian Feng and Liu Sen will drive the #111 car.

The roar of steel shakes the Xiangjiang River, and a storm of speed sweeps Zhuzhou. From August 15th to 17th, 2025, the Zhuzhou International Circuit will transform into the "Central and Southern China Speed Melting Pot" for the next round of Super Geely League PRO competition! Geely Holding Group's Motorsports Live Stream on Bilibili and the Super Geely League video account will broadcast the entire race from rounds 7 to 9 of this season, allowing you to experience every thrilling moment. Be sure to watch the races to see who will take home the three-round championship trophy.
