Max Verstappen to Compete in NLS9 with EMIL FREY RACING in Ferrari 296 GT3

Race Entry List Germany Nürburgring Nordschleife September 26

Nürburg, Germany – September 26, 2025 – Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen is set to return to the Nürburgring Nordschleife for the 9th round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), known as the 57. ADAC Barbarossapreis, taking place from September 26 to 27, 2025. Verstappen will drive the #31 Ferrari 296 GT3 under the banner of EMIL FREY RACING, sharing the cockpit with British driver Christopher Lulham.

This marks a significant moment in Verstappen’s expanding endurance racing portfolio, continuing his transition into GT racing alongside his F1 commitments. The Dutchman, racing under license NL-ITA-1, will compete in the SP9 PRO class, the top GT3 category of the event.

EMIL FREY RACING, based in Safenwil, Switzerland, is fielding the Ferrari 296 GT3 — a factory-backed GT3 machine with a proven record across various championships. Lulham, Verstappen's co-driver, brings his own experience from GT and endurance competition, forming a strong Pro lineup for the Swiss outfit.

The entry list for NLS9 includes over 100 cars across multiple classes, with 11 competitors in the SP9 GT3 category. Verstappen's participation is expected to draw significant attention from fans and media alike, especially as the Ferrari GT3 platform continues to gain traction in international endurance racing.

NLS9 serves as a key preparatory race for teams aiming for future 24-hour or GT World Challenge events, and Verstappen’s appearance highlights the increasing crossover appeal between Formula 1 and endurance racing disciplines.
