Mark Kvamme

Mark Kvamme, born on February 20, 1961, is an American racing driver and team owner who brings a wealth of experience to the sport. Beyond racing, Kvamme is a venture capitalist at Drive Capital in Columbus, Ohio.

Kvamme's racing journey began with motorcycles, though he initially didn't pursue it professionally. He transitioned to off-road truck racing before finding his niche in sports car racing. Since 2014, he has been a presence in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. In 2017, he achieved a notable result, finishing third at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in the Prototype Challenge class. That same year, he also competed in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA, securing second place in the Platinum Cup Masters championship with victories at Barber Motorsports Park and Virginia International Raceway. More recently, Kvamme participated in the Asian Le Mans Series in 2019-20 with Rick Ware Racing, achieving a second-place finish in the LMPS Am class at the Shanghai International Circuit.

Kvamme is the founder, team principal, and driver for MDK Motorsports. MDK Motorsports also has a presence in motocross. Mark has competed in the Porsche Sprint Challenge and various IMSA and USAC sports car racing classes, earning championship titles in one Lamborghini Super Trofeo season and two Porsche Carrera Cup seasons. He has also participated in multiple 24 Hours of Le Mans races. Mark and his wife, Megan Kvamme, are passionate about supporting diversity in motorsports. Their initiatives include the Yokohama All-In program and collaborations with USAC, Porsche Motorsport North America, and the Cleveland Clinic to study brain injuries in motorsports.
