The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing China GR86 Cup 2025 is already halfway through its schedule, with exciting early rounds in Shanghai and Ningbo, bringing many thrilling moments to the racing world.

Setting Sail in Shanghai, Forging a New Chapter on the F1 Circuit

The 2025 season kicked off in May in Jiading, Shanghai, with the debut of the race at China's only F1 circuit, the Shanghai International Circuit. Collaborating with the FIA Formula 4 Chinese Championship and other events, the event will create a spectacular racing feast. Numerous drivers participated, including renowned professional driver He Xiaole, automotive journalist Liu Zejin ("Liliao Ge"), and DJ Holdings Group President Masahiko Iida. The drivers completed two exciting rounds, showcasing both veterans and rookies.

Debut in Ningbo, reigniting the racing frenzy

The June race will take place at the Ningbo International Circuit for the first time. Racing elites and rising stars converged, with multiple national endurance champion Wang Hao returning and popular champion driver Shi Wei (Tiedou) leading the all-new women's team, She Power. Two rounds of intense competition unfolded amidst alternating sunny and rainy weather. Meanwhile, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing hosted the "TGR PARK" international IP-themed event, featuring live race viewing, car and dance performances, creating a vibrant racing weekend for GR fans.

Return to Ningbo, a fierce battle among the elite.

In early July, the race returned to Ningbo for the third round. TGR China official driver Han Lichao made his debut, Guo Haozhang competed in the Greater Bay Area class, and newcomers also entered the fray. As the season progressed, the drivers' understanding of the cars and tracks deepened, intensifying the competition. The two finals witnessed top contenders and rising stars break through, all supported by the CEC China Endurance Championship, creating a racing extravaganza.

A New Journey Begins

After three rounds, the season has passed the halfway mark. The race will then move west to Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit from October 10-12, and conclude north to Tianjin V1 International Circuit from November 7-9. More challenges, breakthroughs, and encounters will be presented at future racetracks.
