Pointer Racing F4 China Championship 2025 season is getting better

Pointer Racing has been active in the Dongpeng Special Drink FIA F4 Formula China Championship since the 2020 season. The team was established in 2016 and is a professional team active in major domestic automobile venue events. The team base is located at the Xiamen International Circuit. Liu Taiji and Yuan Yangzeshi started the competition with the team in Shanghai this season.

Liu Taiji and Yuan Yangzeshi have been involved in endurance events for a long time. The Shanghai station is the first Formula for the two drivers. Stepping into a new field, Liu Taiji found that the difference between the two events lies in the rhythm, "One is an endurance race and the other is a sprint race. The rhythm of the race will be different." Driving the F4 Formula One car for the first time at the Shanghai International Circuit, Liu Taiji faced the challenge with a learning attitude, "This track is very interesting overall, with many high-speed corners and some difficulties that are worth learning." Liu Taiji ranked fourth in the group with a score of 2:22.126 in the first free practice session at the Shanghai station, and Yuan Yangzeshi also quickly entered the state.

Yuan Yangzeshi and Liu Taiji both entered the mid-table competition in their first qualifying. Yuan Yangzeshi successfully completed the first battle of the event in the fifth round final and moved up one position. He also successfully completed the two-round final on Sunday. Liu Taiji was involved in an accident at the beginning of the fifth round and unfortunately retired. He finished three places higher in the seventh round final on Sunday, achieving the pre-race goal of "finishing the race and chasing as far as possible".

The race moved to Zhuhai in June, and the pointer car ushered in a breakthrough moment. Yuanyang Zeshi achieved fourth place in the group in the first practice session, and Liu Taiji also improved his lap time in the second practice session. After the practice session, Liu Taiji believed that the car's grip needed to be improved, "need to go back and adjust the car again."

After timely adjustments, Yuan Yangzeshi of Pointer Racing made his fastest lap time of 1:41.699, and Liu Taiji's result in the first qualifying session was less than 0.1 second behind his teammate. The qualifying performances of the two drivers took the lead in the group, laying a solid foundation for the finals.

Entering the first day of the finals, track conditions frequently changed under changing weather. Liu Taiji completed multiple overtaking from the fourth lap, continuously improving his position, and broke into the points zone in the second half of the race, winning the first points of the season for Pointer Racing in this round. Yuan Yangzeshi improved four positions in the first lap, and finally joined his teammates on the podium, winning the first and second place in the Challenge Group.

The Pointer Racing once again took the top two places in the group in the final on Saturday afternoon. Yuan Yangzeshi maintained his ranking throughout the game and competed for points with his opponents, finally gaining his first personal point. Liu Taiji remained in the points zone throughout the game, staged a wonderful offense and defense with his opponents, and won points again.

On Sunday, Liu Taiji and Yuan Yangzeshi added four more group trophies to the team. Yuan Yangzeshi, who started from the last place, improved six positions in the early stage of the eleventh round and won the Challenge Cup runner-up. Liu Taiji also completed multiple overtaking and won the third place in the group.

In the twelfth round held on Sunday afternoon, Yuan Yangzeshi rose three positions in a row at the beginning of the race, fought fiercely with his opponent at the end of the race, and stood on the podium of the group again. Liu Taiji performed steadily in the race, rising three positions throughout the race and won the Challenge Cup runner-up. The performance of the two drivers in Zhuhai Station made Pointer Racing rise by 6 positions in the standings.
