On July 20, the 2025 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Challenge started the second round of the race on Sunday at the Inje Circuit in South Korea. After the first round, Climax Racing's morale was greatly boosted, and the goal was to achieve another success in the second round on Sunday. In the end, Climax Racing's No. 67 car, driven by Zhang Yaqi and Yao Liangbo, won the Am category championship; the No. 76 car, driven by Li Dongsheng and Li Donghui, won the Am category runner-up. Hudson Auto by LKM did not give up after falling to the end of the team at the beginning of the race, and finally won the third place in the Pro-Am category.
The second round of the race continued to adopt the rolling start mode. After the start, Ling Kang quickly launched a fierce attack on the car in front and jumped to the fifth place in the whole field. Cao Qikuan moved forward steadily and was in the fifth place in the group. Zhang Yaqi, who started from the pole position in the Am group, continued to defend his position, and his teammate Li Donghui followed closely and continued to move forward.
After that, Ling Kang of Hudson Auto by LKM was rear-ended by his opponent, and the car lost control and skidded, unfortunately falling to the end of the team. At the same time, the car on the field followed his own pace and moved forward steadily. After the maintenance window opened, he did not rush to pit, waiting for a favorable opportunity.
With 30 minutes left in the race, a faulty car appeared on the track. The race committee showed the yellow flag to slow down all cars. Climax Racing decided to pit, and the four cars entered the pit area together to complete the replacement and other tasks, and there was no loss of ranking after driving on the track. The race committee dispatched the safety car after the pit window closed, and the compression of the car line helped the drivers get closer to the car in front.
With 11 minutes left, the race restarted and all the cars moved forward in unison for the final sprint. Liao Qishun of LK Motorsport By Climax Racing seized the opportunity and overtook several cars in succession to jump to sixth place; Lu Zhiwei continued to chase and completed several wonderful overtaking to improve several places; Yao Liangbo and Li Dongsheng played steadily and continued to occupy the leading position in the Am group.
In the end, the No. 3 car of LK Motorsport By Climax Racing finished sixth in the race and second in the Pro-Am category, but unfortunately fell off the podium after being penalized by the race committee for speeding in the pit area and violating the rules of the race. The No. 66 car of Hudson Auto by LKM won the third place in the Pro-Am category and successfully took the stage.
Climax Racing's No. 67 car, driven by Zhang Yaqi and Yao Liangbo, successfully won the championship from the top of the Am group! The No. 76 car ended the competition in Korea with the second place in the Am group, and climbed the podium in the group in two rounds!
So far, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Challenge has ended the two rounds of competition at the Inje Circuit in South Korea. The next stop will be at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia in September to start the fifth race. Stay tuned!
